Morning Prayer For Family Healing

Healing is one of God’s promises in the Bible. Psalm 147:3 says, “He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.” The Lord also promised in Jeremiah 33:6, “Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth.” Whether you need healing physically, emotionally, mentally, or spiritually, God promises healing in the name of Jesus.

As you are here looking for a morning prayer for healing for your family, know that God hears your prayer and will heal your family from any pain and illnesses. Here is a prayer:

Heavenly Father, I praise and magnify Your name today. As I lift up my family to You, I thank You for healing their hearts and minds. Whatever pain the conflict has brought us, You promised to bind up our wounds and heal our hearts. Thank You, for love and forgiveness reigns in our home in Jesus’ name. Amen.

While it seems normal for families to experience brokenness and pain, that isn’t God’s perfect will for families. The enemy always seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:10) anything and anyone precious to Abba Father. God’s will for families is to bless and prosper them in all their ways, to have dominion over the earth, and to bear fruit and multiply. This was His plan for Adam and Eve until the serpent came to destroy it (see Genesis 1-3).

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:10

Thus, the world is facing the consequences of the sin that came upon Adam and Eve—bitterness, pain, anger, hurt, and all kinds of negativity that have impacted families from generation to generation. That being said, God sent His only begotten Son to destroy the works of the devil (He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8). When we believe in Jesus Christ and the Word of God, we can expect the manifestations of God’s promises to come to pass in our lives.

He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8

Hebrews 11:6 says, “But without faith, it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

So, as you are here to pray for your family’s healing, have faith in the name of Jesus Christ, Who is the great Healer of all time. He is the same yesterday, today, and forevermore (Hebrews 13:8).

How do you pray for family healing?

Saying a morning prayer for family healing is one way to open your heart to God’s promise of healing. As you believe in His promise to heal, the Lord will restore your family.

Moreover, you can be specific in your prayers for your family. For example:

1. Pray for healing to come upon their minds.

1 Corinthians 2:16

For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

The mind holds all information and memories that affect the heart, which causes strong emotions about certain events. You can pray to God to heal your family members’ minds from offenses, unpleasant memories, traumas, and so on so that healing may come. Pray that God’s word will open up and renew their minds supernaturally in Jesus’ name.

2. Pray for healing upon their hearts.

Proverbs 4:23

Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

As mentioned earlier, when the mind isn’t renewed and healed, the heart is affected by the perceptions caused by emotional issues. Pray that strong emotions attached to a certain painful memory become healed as the mind gets renewed. Declare healing to come upon your family’s hearts and let all the issues of life be surrendered unto the Lord.

3. Pray for their relationship with God.

John 15:5

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Having a relationship with God is more important than anything else because when we have a personal relationship with Him and can hear His voice, the Holy Spirit will be the One to convict us of any wrongdoings. He empowers us to walk in humility, forgiveness, and love—the fruit of Christ in our lives. Pray for your family to truly know God, experience His love, and have a wonderful relationship with Him.

4. Pray for the restoration of broken relationships in the family.

John 10:10

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

While the enemy seeks to destroy families, God’s will for your family is to live an abundant life in Christ. Receive this promise of God and declare this over your family because this is your right as a child of God. Your prayers for your family are powerful enough to cause heaven to move and restore your family in Jesus’ name.

5. Pray for connection and communication.

1 Peter 4:8

And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.

1 John 1:7

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

Like the words of God stated above, connection and communication with one another show we are walking in His light. Pray for your family’s connection and communication lines to be aligned with God’s Word. Pray for your family members to stay connected and be constantly in communication with each other so that God can work His healing powerfully, especially in these areas.

6. Pray for openness unto God.

Psalm 66:18

If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.

Last but not least, pray for honesty and transparency before the Lord to come upon your household. This is the only way for God’s healing to truly come and deal with the issues of our hearts—when we are open and honest before the Lord. Just as we are honest with doctors so they treat our sicknesses successfully, we must be open before God so healing can come as He hears us.
