Morning Prayer For Family Health

Health is an important aspect of human lives, especially since having good health enables us, the believers of Christ, to do the will of God efficiently and effectively here on earth through our physical bodies. When a family is in perfect health – not just physically but emotionally, mentally, and spiritually – its members greatly impact society and the community.

As you are here looking for a morning prayer for family health, know that it is God’s will for your family to prosper in this area.

Here is a prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for my family and for blessing them with good health. It is your will that my family will prosper, not just spiritually but physically as well. Thank You for protecting my home from diseases in Jesus’ name. Amen.

3 John 1:2 says, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” While the Bible tells us to work on our spiritual lives and focus on heavenly things, taking care of our bodies while we are still here on earth is also an important part of the faith journey. It is God’s will that we take care of our bodies and flee anything that causes us to sin against our own bodies, such as sexual immorality. After all, our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit.

3 John 1:2 says, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

1 Corinthians 6:18-20 says, “Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.”

As a family, you must strive to take care of your physical health by choosing to eat healthy foods, limiting your intake of sugary foods, choosing veggies over junk food, drinking plenty of water to keep yourselves hydrated, avoiding sins mentioned in the Bible, and so on.

Another aspect of health, aside from the physical body, is your emotional, spiritual, and mental health. You must take care of your soul’s health by feeding it with the Word of God, heavenly things, and the things that make you whole as a person, such as meditating on good things rather than indulging in constant worry and fear of the future, as well as in choosing your circle of friends wisely, guarding your heart, etc.

You must take care of your mental, emotional, and spiritual health because what is taking place in the spirit realm is simply manifesting in the physical body. For instance, if you are emotionally or mentally troubled, it leads to a lack of sleep and other sleep disorders as well as depression, which can cause health problems. Holding on to anger and unforgiveness also affects your heart rate, blood pressure, and so on.
