A business partner is someone whom you do business with. For example, if two people decide to pool their finances, start a business, and co-own it, that is an example of a business partnership. One good example of this is a small law office where two or three lawyers partner up to open their own small law office or firm.
A business partner does not have to be someone who co-manages the business with you. It could be that what they partnered with is just their capital, while you are the one who manages the business for an agreed-upon return on investment. There are also industrial partners; the skills they offer are not resources but their learned skills. There are other types of partners, but one common denominator is that you run the business with them.
That is why it’s essential to pray for a good business partner as you set up your business, as well as for the well-being of your business partner/s if you already have one. 1 Timothy 2:1 tells us that we are to make prayers and supplications for all people, and that includes our business partner/s.
Heavenly Father, I thank You, for You are the God who works all things together for the good of those who love and fear You. Thank You because no matter what business partner I end up with, you orchestrate everything and work it for my benefit. I pray for guidance and discernment as I find a business partner/s. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

How do you pray for a business partner?

Morning prayer for business partner
Considering how important a business partner/s is, it is essential to pray to God that You will be able to find a good one. When we say “good,” we mean someone honest and excellent in their business dealings with you. You will want a partner/s who will not deceive you for unjust gains. At the same time, you want a partner who will bring value to your business or company. You can ask God to lead you to the right business partner/s.
When praying for a business partner, think first about the qualities of a good business partner/s that you would like to have, and then pray that you will find such a person. Also, remember that when you are praying, you are seeking God for guidance. That is why Proverbs 3:5-6 teaches us that in everything, we are to trust the LORD and His guidance with all our heart and not lean on what we think is best. How you pray for a business partner/s shall always rest in asking God for guidance because in the end, it is God who orchestrates everything and establishes your steps, as it is written in Proverbs 16:9. You will need wisdom while looking for a business partner, as you trust in Him. That wisdom you will use to discern and find the best business partner comes from God alone, as written in Proverbs 2:6. Lastly, Psalm 119:105 shows us that God’s word should be the lamp for our feet. We are to use it in every facet of our life, even when it comes to looking for a business partner/s. That means you can also turn to Scriptures and pray them as you look for a business partner/s.
Here is an example of how you can offer a morning prayer asking God to lead you to the right business partner:
Father in heaven, Thank You for placing Your divine providence upon me in Christ. I pray that You will lead and guide me to the right people to ask to be my business partner. I pray that we shall be upright people who value integrity and honesty. I also pray that you will lead me to potential business partners who can significantly help my business with their skills and knowledge. Give me the wisdom I need. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
Another prayer you can offer in the morning as you look for business partners is that when you find potentially good ones, you will find favor in their sight, and they shall partner with you as you tell them your business proposal. You can also pray that they will catch the vision and purpose of your business, namely why you are getting into that business. For example, if you plan to launch a Biotech startup, you will want them to partner with you, not because of the potential high returns in investment or profit, but because it may improve people’s lives. You pray for favor by praying that God will move their hearts and by presenting to God those aspects of your business where you and your potential business partner/s will hopefully find common ground. Whatever those prayer requests are, Philippians 4:6-7 teaches us that you are to pray and lift them up to God.
You can use the example below as you pray a morning prayer for your potential business partners to join you in your business venture:
Heavenly Father, I pray that I will find favor in the eyes of the potential business partners I approach whom I want to have in my business. I pray that they shall agree to be my business partners. I also pray that they will be able to catch the vision of why I’m starting my business and invest in that vision more than for the financial returns. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
How do you pray for your business partner?

Morning prayer for business partner
It is one thing to pray for a business partner, but quite another to pray “for” your business partner. Even if you already have a business partner, it is still important to pray for them. Whether they are Christian/s or not, pray for their well-being and be a blessing to them. They are the ones who are with you in your business journey, whether in good times or bad times. You should also love them because they are people, not just because they are your business partners. The love that we show should be genuine. Pray that they will get to know Christ if they are not Christians. It is written in 1 John 4:8 that if we truly know God, then we should love others, including our business partner/s.
You can pray for your business partner/s by first understanding the concerns they have. You can know these things by asking them how they are or asking them directly if there is anything you can pray for them. There are also prayers you can pray even if you don’t ask them. For example, just as you pray for good health upon your family, surely they also pray for the good health for their family. The key thing here is to pray and seek their well-being.
Here is an example of a morning prayer for your business partner/s:
Father in heaven, You are a God who shows grace. I pray for the well-being of my business partner so that it may always go well with him and his family. Protect them from any sickness and disease and keep them safe from harm. Bless the work of God’s hands and cause them to bear fruit. Most of all, work in His heart, Holy Spirit, so that he may see the truth of the Gospel and repent. Help me also to be bold in preaching the Gospel to him. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
As we humbly pray to God when asking for a business partner, we can rest assured that whomever He leads us to, His providence is always at work. Everything works together for the good of those who love Him. Also, it is essential to exercise wisdom as we choose our business partners, and we can ask God for such wisdom.
