What Do You Say When Praying For Someone In The Morning?

Praying to God is like communicating with your closest friend. All it takes is honesty, transparency, and authenticity to truly move the Father’s heart and get prayers answered. As soon as you wake up, you can greet God with a grateful heart and let your request be made known as you pray for that someone. Philippians 4:6-7 says, “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

When praying for someone in the morning, you can say to God what’s in your heart and mind. You can pray a blessing over that person, tell God your concern for that someone, or declare a scripture for him/her. As the Holy Spirit leads you to intercede and pray for someone in the morning, obey His promptings and expect your prayers to be answered.

Praying for someone in the morning shows how much you care and value that person. When a person brings you to God, you know that such an act is true love because God is love (And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. 1 John 4:16). If you want to bless someone as you pray in the morning, you can pray in this manner:

Heavenly Father, thank You for blessing me with another day, another life. I lift to you (name of the person) as You put him/her in my heart. I speak blessing to all aspects of their life, and may Your love always guide them into the truth. Shower them with Your presence that they may know the One true God in Christ Jesus. Amen.

If you want to declare a Scripture promise for that someone, for instance, Jeremiah 29:11 and John 10:10, you can pray in this manner:

In Jesus’ name, (say the name of the person) has a bright future and wonderful hope in Christ Jesus. The plans of the Lord are great in his/her life, and they shall live an abundant life in Christ. Amen.

How do I let the Holy Spirit lead me in praying for someone in the morning?

Sometimes, praying becomes repetitive in the long run, especially in the morning. And sometimes, you don’t even know what to pray for someone, especially upon waking up. Romans 8:26 says the Holy Spirit helps us in our praying, for He knows the deep things of God and reveals them to us.

To allow the Holy Spirit to lead you in the morning as you pray for someone is to connect with Him first thing in the morning: “Holy Spirit, what do you want me to pray for this person?” You can ask Him that question as you pray. Then, as you wait upon Him, He will reveal to you what you must pray for.

Waiting to hear from the Holy Spirit is key to hearing His voice. That is why stillness and rest are so important; otherwise, if you are in a hurry or your mind is clouded with other things, it can be difficult to hear the small still voice of the Holy Spirit. And that’s okay. God understands if you are short of time in the morning or have to attend to many things as soon as you wake up.

The good thing about God is that He dwells in you. He isn’t confined by your bedroom or prayer room. As soon as you finish doing what you must accomplish, you can come back in your quiet moment and ask the Holy Spirit again as you pray for that someone.

Know that the Lord is delighted as you pray for others. The intercession of a saint is precious to God, and they are like incense before His throne. Continue to pray and connect with God in the morning and bless the Father’s heart in Jesus’ name.

“Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.” Psalm 141:2

In Jesus’ name, (say the name of the person) has a bright future and wonderful hope in Christ Jesus. The plans of the Lord are great in his/her life, and they shall live an abundant life in Christ. Amen.
