Sometimes, when we’re busy at work or having a stressful day, it’s not easy to make time for God, as you may not even want to pray. If prayer is the last thing on your mind after returning from work at 5 o’clock in the morning, or anytime earlier than that, don’t feel bad or put pressure on yourself. Our God is a good Father who doesn’t want His children to be forced into their relationship and time with Him. Perhaps you can think of prayer as simply talking to God, just as you would to a friend.
Sometimes, we may have the wrong mindset when we hear the word “prayer.” For some people, prayer can mean offering up a long list of requests to God, having the discipline to read and meditate on His Word, or praying for other people. Thus, when people are tired or stressed out, prayer is the last thing on their mind. However, did you know that having a simple conversation with God is already a form of prayer? Simply telling Him the truth that you are tired and stressed is a prayer! Remember, prayer just means talking with God.
Prayer is our conversation with God that we have each day. Having a conversation with God throughout the day will also help you deal with Your stress because His Spirit will be alive in you.
God is always with you, so prayer doesn’t have to be limited to your bedroom. You can pray or have conversations with God anytime and anywhere. He is a good Father who always listens to His children. What matters to you also matters to Him. Even in your workplace, partner with God and see for yourself how His power is truly working through our weaknesses. He will take away all your stress and sustain you throughout the day. You are a child of God and Your Heavenly Father is closer than the air you are breathing. He is always with you, wherever you go, and is always willing to listen, no matter what you have to say. Praying to God is the best thing to do because it means having a conversation with the One who loves you the most.
