Morning Prayer for Gratitude for Healing

Healing is one of God’s greatest gifts of grace and mercy in our lives. Because of Jesus Christ and all the things He has done for us, we are healed and made whole by His blood, as we believe in His name. 

Considering that you are here looking for a prayer to show your gratitude for God’s healing, you may have witnessed and experienced God’s miraculous power through healing you in some form. Such an encounter can make you swell with gratitude and thanksgiving unto the Lord. Here is a prayer to offer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for waking me up and blessing me with another day. Thank You for healing me and letting me experience Your power and truth. You are so mighty to save, heal, and restore; nothing is impossible with You, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

In the Bible, Jesus healed many people. He made the blind see, the mute talk, the lame walk, and freed the demonically oppressed. Back then, people were very grateful for all He did in their lives. 

One certain thing remains–Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forevermore (Hebrews 13:8). He who made the blind see can work through all the impossibilities in our lives, including disease and sickness.

When we believe in the power of His name, we will surely experience His power, signs, and wonders.

“Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth” (Mark 9:23).

How can I show my gratitude to God for healing me?

When you have a relationship with God, it is natural to want to give back His kindness and love in whatever ways you can. Some people start by helping charity groups, others serve the Lord in the ministry, and some may take an entirely different course in life for His greater purpose. However God leads people, we know that an encounter with Him changes us forever, whether it is through healing, deliverance, salvation, dreams, visions, or any other divine communication.

After God has healed you, one of the ways to truly show your appreciation and gratitude towards Him is by changing your lifestyle. You can start anew with your physical body by carefully choosing what you eat, the time you sleep, and all other things you do. After all, our body is a temple of God (Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 1 Corinthians 3:16).

God healing us can be a way of Him giving us second chances. When given a second chance, you show your sincerity by doing your best not to mess up again and face the consequences. When God heals our bodies from disease and illness, we want to make sure that we eat healthy foods and get enough rest for our bodies to replenish and remain in His presence, which is the true source of life and healing. 

Apart from God, we are truly nothing, and nothing good can ever come to us if not from Him. So, as you wake up in the morning, begin with a grateful heart. Give thanks to the Lord and praise Him for all He has done.

Can my sickness return after God has healed me?

Nothing is permanent in this world. Only God’s Word will remain when all else passes. 

When God heals a person, eventually that person will come to meet death at some point in time. Likewise, when God heals a disease, you can’t expect that healing to remain when you go back to the bad habits that caused your body to break down in the first place. For His healing to remain, you must abide and remain in Him and His Word.

Consider the woman who was caught in adultery in John 8:1-11. When everyone was ready to condemn and stone her to death, Jesus redeemed her with grace, mercy, and love. Afterward, He told the woman to go and sin no more. The Lord freed the woman from the law that caused her condemnation, yet it was His desire and will for the woman to stop committing adultery. That’s why He said to go and sin no more.

In the same manner, God wills to heal us, but He also desires for us to take care of our bodies and be responsible for our health so that we may fully receive His perfect will for our lives. 

As you wake up each day with a grateful heart for God’s healing, may the Lord continue to bless you, keep you, and make His face shine upon your body, soul and spirit, in Jesus’ name.
