It could be that you are part of the church’s staff, a volunteer team, or a congregation in which a particular idea is being debated. As part of the church staff or as one of the volunteers or members, it is vital to pray for such a church service idea. 

A church service idea could be any idea regarding the church’s worship service. It could be an idea of adding more service slots, a significant change to the worship flow, a proposed set of passages to highlight during the sermons, and much more. In other words, we should pray to God because we need God’s help and wisdom, which He makes known to us through the Holy Spirit that dwells in us.

How do you pray for a church service idea in the morning?

A practical tip you may want to apply is to set your alarm in the morning so you can have a specific time to pray for the church service idea. This alarm is not necessarily just for you to wake up. You can still set an alarm at a particular time after you are already awake to remind you to pray for the church service idea in the morning. Of course, you can also pray for other things at the same time. Aside from setting an alarm or denoting a specific time in the morning, go to a place where you can easily pray without distractions. Jesus exemplified this in Mark 1:35, where He woke up early to go and pray in a solitary place.

The word humility is a fundamental principle we should keep in mind when we pray. We pray and ask God for help because we acknowledge that we depend on Him, which is why we ask Him for guidance. It is written in Psalm 32:8 that God instructs us on the paths we should take. Aside from that, if we are already sure of the idea, we can pray to God that He will cause our idea to bear fruit and positively affect the church service. As written in (Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. 3 John 1:2), we are allowed to pray for things to go well for us.
