Morning Prayer for Monday

Monday is an important day of the week, as it is when most people go to work, attend school, conduct business, and so on. While Sunday marks the beginning of the week, Monday is the start of all the hustle and bustle. Therefore, it is important to give our first moments of the morning to God when we wake up on Monday and offer the rest of the busy week up to Him.

Psalm 59:16 says, “But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defense and refuge in the day of my trouble.”

Here is a morning prayer for Monday:

Heavenly Father, thank You for waking me up as I once again fulfill all the tasks and duties before me. Thank You for blessing me with strength, wisdom, and Your presence, which will sustain and empower me not just for today but for the rest of the week. May I bring glory to Your name as I walk in Christlikeness wherever I go, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

While Monday is an important day of the week to say a morning prayer to God, it is always best to fill the whole week and the weekends (Morning Prayer for Weekend) with prayers and communion with the Lord through His Word. When you set apart time each day to pray and commune with God, you can expect a powerful week, month, and rest of the year. 

When you are a yielded vessel of God’s Spirit, nothing can ruin your mood, and the enemy (see John 10:10) will be unable to sabotage your character at any time, as the fruit of the Spirit manifests in your life. There is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control (see Galatians 5:22-23).

How do you pray on Monday morning?

Saying a morning prayer on Monday is a great and powerful way to start your day. As mentioned earlier, when we are connected with God, the enemy can’t do anything to us because of His presence and anointing over our lives.

There are many things that you can pray for on a Monday morning. Think about the things that are current and the things that lie ahead, the things needed to be done, the blessings, provision, and protection over your family, employers, ministry, and church members. Whatever the Holy Spirit is putting in your heart and mind on Monday morning, pray that God’s will shall be done above all. You can pray privately in your room as you wake up, pray corporately with your family, at work, and any other time God prompts you to do so.

Nothing beats a day that starts and ends with God through prayer and meditation on His Word. As you allow the Holy Spirit to lead you, you shall become a powerful, impactful, and influential person in Christ Jesus. You become the salt and light of this world.“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father, which is in heaven” –  Matthew 5:16
