Morning Prayer For Gratitude For A Family Member

Saying a morning prayer for gratitude for a family member is one way to show how much you love and care for that person—having a family member whom you dearly love is one of the greatest blessings in life, and you should be grateful to God for that blessing. Whether it’s your parents, siblings, a newborn baby, a cousin, grandparents, and even pets, you can always say a morning prayer of gratitude for that family member when you wake up. God loves it when we thank Him and greet Him in the morning with prayer. Just as a baby’s smile brings joy to its mother in the morning, your prayers move the Father’s heart as you connect with His Spirit early in the morning.

To bless and give thanks to the Father for a family member in the morning, you can say a gratitude prayer for a family member in this manner:

Heavenly Father, thank You for this life that You have given me. Thank You for another chance to spend my time with family and all my loved ones. As I am particularly thinking of (family member), I want You to know that I am deeply grateful for their life. I am learning so much from them as a person, and I truly appreciate all that they are. Bless them, God, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

When you are grateful and acknowledge God’s doings through prayers, you’ll notice that it brings you positivity, joy, and awareness of God’s presence and goodness. Even when faced with life’s trials, He keeps you safe in His embrace, which is something to be grateful for.

When you say a morning prayer of gratitude for a family member, God blesses the family through your prayers. Your intercessions every morning are powerful and effective. How do I thank God for my family?

Thanking God for a family every morning is one of the best ways to intercede for each family member over a period of days. As you greet God and thank Him for all He has done, your simple prayer of gratitude for a family member is powerful enough to get heaven moving down towards the earth.

There are many ways to bring about God’s love for your family. As you read God’s Word and ask the Holy Spirit’s guidance in your meditation of God’s word, He’ll show you Scriptures that you can pray and thank God for your family.

Here are some of the ways that you can thank God for your family:

1. Thank Him for His divine protection of your family.

God’s divine protection is something you can be grateful for in the morning. Not everyone gets the chance to go home and see a loved one again. People can easily take someone’s presence at home for granted, but not when the Holy Spirit makes you realize it is God’s protection that keeps every family safe every day (see Psalm 91).

2. Thank Him for unity and love in the family.

God is love. Only true love that leads to unity in a family comes from God, and it is something you can pray to God for your family (see Colossians 3:14).

3. Thank Him for Christlikeness in each family member.

Christlikeness is so important in every family. It is the key to prospering relationships, no matter the challenges, differences, and trials encountered along the way (see Romans 13:14).

4. Thank Him for wisdom and discernment for the family.

Wisdom and discernment help the family in their decision-making and the quality of life they are walking into. You can thank God for giving them to your family members and for seeing them walk according to His will and purpose (see Psalm 111:10 and James 3:13-18).

5. Thank Him for daily strength to each member of the family

Strength is vital in fulfilling God’s calling every day. It is a great blessing to receive strength from the Lord to fulfill every task of your life’s purpose each day (see Philippians 4:13).

6. Thank Him for your family’s purpose and destiny in Christ.

God’s will is to bless every family. As you pray and intercede for your family, know that He has great plans for each household member (see Romans 8:30 and Jeremiah 29:11).

7. Thank Him for His provisions for your family.

It is a great blessing to wake up with meals prepared before you, to have the comfort of a home, a job, a career, and more. These are all God’s blessings to your family, which is something for which you should be grateful (see Philippians 4:19).

8. Thank Him for physical and spiritual blessings for your family.

God is a generous giver and loves to give good things to His children and every family on earth. Aren’t we blessed to have such a good God? (see James 1:17).

9. Thank Him for the salvation of your household.

Salvation is such a wonderful gift to which nothing in this world can compare. Having a relationship with the King of kings and being restored in the Father’s arms is all that everyone and every family needs (see Acts 2:21).

10. Thank Him for healing, deliverance, and freedom through the blood of Jesus Christ for your family.

If you have a family member who needs healing, freedom, and deliverance, you can thank God, for He has already paid for it through the blood of Christ Jesus (see Luke 4:18, John 8:36, Isaiah 53:5).

The list goes on as the Holy Spirit leads you into the specifics as you thank God for your family. Note that even if you haven’t seen your prayers manifested, such as the salvation of an unsaved family member, you can say thank You to God as if you have received the answer to your prayers. Such is an act of faith that truly causes breakthroughs in people’s lives. Jesus said in Mark 11:24, “Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”

Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.Mark 11:24
