Morning Prayer for Gratitude During a Pandemic

No one was prepared for the devastation and pain this pandemic would bring. The whole world was suddenly shaken, and many believers in the Lord were either shaken or strengthened in their faith. Regardless of the cases, we all have something to be grateful for to God for never leaving and forsaking us in the most difficult times of our lives.

As you are here searching for morning prayer for gratitude during the pandemic, know that God’s heart is delighted when His children are thankful and paying more attention to what He is doing rather than what the enemy is doing. After all, gratitude in all circumstances is God’s will. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 says, “In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”

Morning Prayer for Gratitude During a Pandemic

Here is a morning prayer for gratitude during the pandemic to bless the heart of the Father:

Lord, thank You for Who You are, especially during these pandemic times. I appreciate what You have been doing, not just in my life but for the rest of the world. Your love is greater than this life. Your presence is more precious than anything else in this temporary life. I fix my eyes on You, Lord, the Author and Finisher of my faith in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Morning Prayer for Gratitude During a Pandemic

There are many things that you can thank God for in this pandemic. The fact that you are reading this is a blessing to be alive; to have eyes that see, lungs that breathe in and out, and a heart that still beats. You can thank God for your loved ones, whom He has protected, and for providing food and basic needs during the most difficult times economically across the globe. If you didn’t lose a job during the pandemic, you could thank God for caring for your employer and the businesses that weren’t affected.

The list goes on as the Holy Spirit impresses you on what you can thank God for in the morning during the pandemic. He opens your eyes to see God’s marvelous works and truths even in the most difficult times of your life.

What can I do to feel better if I’m feeling anxious and scared about COVID-19?

If there’s a spiritual enemy (see John 10:10) manifesting tangibly during the pandemic, it is no other than Covid-19, a deadly virus that has hit the world and taken many lives. Who wouldn’t feel anxious and scared when they think of it? When you think about yourself or your loved ones acquiring it, that can cause death. No one can invalidate what you feel, for even the strongest men and women of faith in the Body of Christ were tried and tested. However, we know that as God’s children we have authority against fear, anxiety, and sicknesses.

You must not let Covid-19, fear, and anxiety take over you and be a part of your life. Exercise your authority in Christ Jesus to rebuke it and cast it out like it is your worst enemy. You can command it by saying, “I rebuke you, fear, in Jesus’ name! I declare peace and God’s Word to reign in my mind and heart.”

2 Timothy 1:7 says, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” God’s Word helps to remind you who you are in Christ Jesus, regardless of what is going on in the world. Not even death can move you. After all, the faith of the Apostle Paul encourages us that living means Christ while death means gaining Christ in full glory (see Philippians 1:21).

The more you read God’s Word, hear preachings about faith and healing, and watch people’s testimony of miracles online, the better you’ll feel and the more you will strengthen your faith in the Lord. It doesn’t help to keep watching the news about people dying of Covid-19, meditating on the sickness and its effect on the body, and so on, as these things will only impart fear and anxiety all the more.

And the more you focus on heavenly things, the more you become grateful to God even during the pandemic. As soon as you wake up in the morning, practice meditating on God’s Word, hear testimonies of God’s Good News and see yourself feeling better and better each day, no matter what is going on with the world.
