Daily Morning Prayer For Church Service

You can pray for your church service every morning; it is not only a Sunday morning thing. Even if it’s not a Sunday, you can still pray for your church service in the morning every day. The church service you will be praying for is for the church service to come. Given that this is a daily morning prayer that you pray, a short prayer will suffice, like the one given below:

You pray for your church service by first identifying the things you need to pray for related to your church service. Usually, the things that need to be prayed for are the essential elements of your church service, like the preacher/pastor, the sermon, the congregation, the volunteers, and more. 

In 2 Timothy 3:16-17, it is written that the Scriptures are excellent for teaching, reproof, correction, and righteousness training. That is why the sermon and the person preaching it are essential to the service. Another critical element is the congregation, which is the gathering of believers, as written in Acts 2:42 (And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.). There is no Sunday worship or service if not for the believers who have gathered. Regarding the volunteers, believers are taught in Colossians 3:23-24 that we are to work heartily for the LORD and serve Christ. These are just some of the essential aspects of a Sunday service or worship. The point is that these elements are essential to create a God-centered and biblical church service. Therefore, we should pray for those things.

Once you have identified these essential elements of your church service, you can pray for those elements. How you pray for those identified elements is by praying for whatever things they will need. The things they need are not limited to physical things. For example, grace and boldness for the preacher are essential. Another thing that can help you is praying for them to always do God’s will. For example if a worship leader serves, pray that he or she will serve with the right heart and a motive that is not self-glorification but for God. That is God’s will, so you should pray for it. You can say a short prayer that covers all of them, or you can pray for each essential element on a given day.
