Everyone needs prayers in their life. Even entrepreneurs do. In 1 Timothy 2:1 (I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;), it is written that prayers and supplications must be made for all people, including entrepreneurs. Daniel 2:20 (Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his: ) teaches us that wisdom belongs to the LORD.

You can also pray that the work of their hands shall prosper. Every day, entrepreneurs work on things, whether that is a particular project, a new idea, or anything else. As they work on these things, pray that the work of their hands shall bear fruit or that they shall make at least progress.

Another important thing to pray for entrepreneurs is protection. When we talk about protection, we are speaking of protection both upon them and also their business. As entrepreneurs, there may be people who want to do malicious things for selfish and evil desires. The more successful the entrepreneur, the more likely they are to be the target of malicious intentions. Their business is also something for which you should pray for protection. Their startup or business could be robbed or be the victim of cyber attacks, a major modern trend.

If the entrepreneur you are praying for is not Christian, then the most important thing you can pray is for them to hear the Gospel of Christ, believe what Christ has done on the cross for them, and repent. The things mentioned above are primarily available to Christians who have been adopted as God’s children and can come before God’s throne of grace to ask for grace and mercy in times of need, as written in Hebrews 4:16 (Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.).

Acts 4:12 (Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.) teaches us that a person can only be saved under the name of Jesus. Only God can turn hearts of stone to hearts of flesh and open the eyes of the spiritually blind. No matter how successful entrepreneurs are in their earthly life, it doesn’t achieve anything if their souls are eternally separated from God.

You can pray in the morning for entrepreneurs at work by presenting to God the concerns you have regarding their specific needs, as written in Philippians 4:6-7. For example, if their need for wisdom to solve problems concerns you, present those prayer requests to God.

Father in heaven, I pray for the entrepreneurs I know who are currently dealing with problems in their startups. May You be gracious and merciful to them. Give them the wisdom they need to solve the problems that they have and to come up with strategies to prevent them from happening again. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
