Morning Prayer For Business Sales

As entrepreneurs, sales are essential to a new business or startup. Sales or income are the lifeblood of a business. They are essential not just because they are where a business or startup makes a profit but also because they cover the cost that a business or startup incurs when making a product or doing a service. Thus, sales are one of the essential points an entrepreneur can pray for regarding their business or startup.

Heavenly Father, I thank You, as You are the One who sustains my business/startup. Just as You provided and sustained my endeavor when I was first launching my business/startup, I pray that You will continually provide us with sales and sustain the company. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Why are sales important for entrepreneurs?

As mentioned above, sales are what keep a business or startup running. Without sales, not only does a business or startup not make a profit, but they won’t be able to cover the expenses that the business or startup has incurred. That applies to businesses or startups that sell actual products, as well as services. 

When we think of sales, we might think of a salesman going door to door (a few decades ago) or approaching people directly to sell a product. Sales or selling is always linked to a product. However, even if a business or startup’s business model is to offer a service, they still need to sell that service. However, what happens is not selling a product but a service. Thus, a business or startup that offers a service needs people availing of the services they offer.

That is also why salespeople and marketers are so invaluable to this day. Marketers bring brand awareness to the public and make the service or product of a business distinguishable from other competitors in the market. They tell people why they should choose a particular brand among the many options that offer the same services or products. With all the marketing campaigns that marketers have done, salespeople ensure they can sell a business or startup’s product or service.

Sales are significant to an entrepreneur because more sales mean more people trust that particular brand of service or product. Let’s take a look at the iPhone, for example. Many people buy iPhones or Apple products, which shows us that the product is likely excellent, though it is also due to their marketing strategies. Many sales also mean that people are able to review your service and product, and if it’s excellent, you will get positive reviews that further help your business or startup generate more sales. 

Having more sales means more income for your business and startup to scale up and pursue the expansion of God’s kingdom through the company. 

With that said, praying for excellent and talented salespeople and marketers is a good idea to stimulate more sales spiritually:

Heavenly Father, as we seek new talent and recruits in the company, I pray that You will bring us excellent and talented salespeople and marketers who will help our startup sell more of its services to the people. I pray for salespeople and marketers who are not only excellent and talented but also have integrity and will not deceive people purely for the sake of sales. I pray that they will also share the vision of the company. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Why do we pray to God in the morning for business sales?

We pray to God in the morning for business sales for two main reasons. The first is that God is the source of everything.

In Psalm 24:1 (The earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.), it is written that Earth is the LORD’s and the fullness thereof. Also, in Deuteronomy 10:14, it is written that heaven belongs to God, along with the Earth and everything on it. Therefore, God is the source of everything, whether that is direct sales or wisdom on how to sell and market better. Even the fruit of our selling and marketing campaigns, which leads to more sales, comes from God alone. In other words, we pray to God and ask Him for business sales because He is the source of everything and the One who provides for us. 

As Christians, everything we do is for the glory of God, as written in 1 Corinthians 10:31 (Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.). As an entrepreneur, when you do business, you do it not for the sake of money and self-interest but to glorify God by using your business or startup to expand His kingdom and be the salt and light to the world. As you seek to do this, Philippians 4:19 says that God will supply you with all that you need to bless others as you become the salt and light to the world.

The second reason is that we ought to ask God. Remember that God is our heavenly Father. If His children need something, we should ask our heavenly Father and receive it. Matthew 7:7-8 says that we are to ask and seek God if we want something from Him because those who ask will receive, and those who seek will find. Of course, when we ask God for something, we still submit to whatever answer God gives us, as God knows better than us in His infinite wisdom.

Also, 3 John 2 says that we are to pray that all may be well with us, and that also relates to your business or startup. You can pray that things will go well with it, in the sense that you will sell your product or service well and that sales will continue to increase.

How can you pray in the morning for business sales?

Matthew 7:7-8 and 3 John 2 tells us how we can pray to God in the morning for business sales. We need to ask God for business sales, and that’s it. Of course, you can always be more detailed in your prayers. For example, is there a certain quota you need to reach so that the business or startup will be sustainable? Do you have a goal to reach a certain number of sales to scale up the business or startup? As you ask God for increased business and sales, you can add those details. 

Father in heaven, we need more sales to cover the costs that we are incurring in the company. We need more funds to allocate to innovation and providing better services for our customers. Help us meet our sales goals for this quarter, and may You bless the work of our hands. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
