People hurting us emotionally and mentally is something unavoidable. Even our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ sometimes do know that we Christians are still working in progress, being sanctified and conformed to the image of Christ. However, despite the reality that we will experience pain and hurt, God’s truth is even more real—that is, He is always there with us when we are hurting.

Do you feel persecuted by your church community for preaching the truth that they don’t want to listen to? Has your family disowned you because of your faith in Christ? Were you just disposable to the people you loved?
Whatever painful thing has happened to you, there is nothing that God’s grace can’t heal. The truth that God is your heavenly Father – from whom you can ask for grace in times of need and who will never leave you nor forsake you – is something that should bring us comfort. You have hope because you have Christ.
Heavenly Father, I thank You because You have sent Your Son, Jesus, to die for my sins. Because of that, I received adoption as Your son and can run to You whenever I am hurt or in pain.
