Morning Prayer for a Business

To have a business of your own, whether a small store, a tech startup, a manufacturing company, etc., is a good desire. As a Christian, you are called to be the salt and light to the world. One way you can be the salt and light is through your business. There are thousands of things that you can do with your business to reach out to people.

Matthew 5:13-16

Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Heavenly Father, thank You because, by Your grace, You can use me and my business to be salt and light to the world. As I pray to start a business, help me that I may be able to make an impact on the lives of others and point people to Christ through it. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

What does God say about starting a business?

If we desire something, we must ask God for it. Jesus said in Matthew 7:7 that we must ask, seek, and knock. Sometimes we do not have what we want because we do not ask. Colossians 3:23

We sometimes get discouraged in our desire to open or start a business. Sometimes it is because of the many obstacles we face, such as the lack of finances and the hectic process of opening up.
