How Do You Pray In The Morning For A Good Week Ahead?

As you partner with the Holy Spirit in praying for a good week ahead every morning, allow Him to speak into your mind and heart about specific things—a Scripture, a person, or an event you must pray for. When you pray for God’s will more than the desires of your own heart, nothing can beat experiencing such a powerful week and not merely a good one. So, aim to have a powerful week ahead filled with the Holy Spirit as you pray and walk according to the will of God.

How can I make a good week ahead?

Walking in Christlikeness and yielding to the Holy Spirit makes for a good week ahead. Nothing can make you feel good or bad than what is happening inside you. When your flesh is stronger this week, you can’t expect a good and smooth week, for there will be attacks here and there, and you are up for a mental and emotional roller coaster ride. 1 Peter 5:8 says, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour….”

The only way to make a good week ahead is by walking in the peace of God that crushes satan under your feet. The more you read God’s Word and spend time with Him in prayer, the more your inner man is strengthened. And no matter what may happen within the week, no situation or attack from the enemy can take away your peace, faith, hope, love, and joy because you are yielded to the Spirit of God.

You can practice by spending less time with worldly activities for the week ahead and choosing to spend your days in prayer, fasting, and meditating on God’s Word. You can turn off the television news at the usual time you watch it and instead listen to preachings or sermons. You can say no to friends who may be inviting you for a drink or a party and instead choose to worship God with your fellow brethren in Church. For this week, you can choose God and let go of all other distractions that may keep your relationship with Him from flourishing.

To have a good week ahead, begin every day by praying first thing in the morning—connecting with the Holy Spirit and allowing His Word to work through your mind and heart. Then you can expect a victorious good week ahead full of God’s anointing and presence through Christ Jesus. May God bless you in your journey in Jesus’ name.
