Morning Prayer For Entrepreneur’s Day

As we wake up in the morning and start our day, we start it with God. As written in Proverbs 16:3 (Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.), we are to commit our ways to the LORD. That does not just mean working for God and His glory; it also means starting our day with a prayer because we humbly depend on God for the day that is about to come.

Heavenly Father, I thank You because Christ has broken down the wall of hostility between us and adopted us as Your sons and daughters so that we may come before You and depend on You daily. I pray that I will have a great day today at work. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

What is a good morning prayer to start the day?

A good morning prayer to say for entrepreneurs as they start their day is one where they depend on God for the day that is about to come. We ought to depend on God whether there are big things scheduled for the day, such as a product launching, meeting with investors, etc., or small things, such as just going to the office to do some paperwork or having a meeting with some employees, etc.

Another good and important prayer for entrepreneurs every morning is a prayer of thanksgiving to God. There are a million things that God has been doing for us that we don’t know of; the ones that we know are only but a few of those. The fact that your company or startup is still there is already one of the many things you should thank God for because His grace and mercy have been sustaining it. Even being able to wake up and go to work safely is already something to be thankful for. 

Heavenly Father, I thank You because, in Christ, You are my Father on Whom I can depend because You care for me. I lift my prayers to You and cast to You the cares and burdens that I have. Always remind me never to face a day as an entrepreneur alone but to seek You for help and humble myself. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Remember that as you pray to God, you pray from a position of humility since you depend on Him. That is why in 1 Peter 5:6-7, it is written that we should cast our cares or burdens to God. As you pray, lift to God those cares, burdens, and concerns you have for the day.

Father in heaven, I am about to meet today with some key employees and discuss important matters regarding our startup. I pray that You will give me wisdom and grace as I lead our meeting later. Give me strength and help me as I negotiate with some clients to whom we accidentally delivered the wrong products. I pray that we will have a productive day today. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

How do you thank God every morning?

As an entrepreneur, you thank God in the morning by first thanking Him for being able to wake up and have another wonderful day. Then, as you pray a prayer of thanksgiving, you pause and try to think of the things you ought to be grateful to God for. As you think of them, anything that comes to mind, whether as small as being able to eat or as big as finding a new client for your business, is already something you can thank God for in your prayer.

As you think of those particular blessings and thank God in prayer, you will realize that there are a thousand things you could thank God for. Even if it’s not going well for your company or startup, there are still things that you ought to thank God for. That is why the apostle said in 1 Thessalonians 5:18 that we are to thank God in all circumstances. We can do so because, as written in Romans 8:28 (And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.), all things work together for the good of those who love God.

Heavenly Father, I thank You for this beautiful day that You have given me. Despite my company barely being able to make it at times, thank You because my business is still there, for You are the One Who has been sustaining it. Thank You because there are still customers who buy and trust our products. Thank You for giving me employees who never gave up and continue to work hard for the company. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

We pray to God because, first, God commanded us to pray. But also, we pray because we want to have conversations and spend time with our heavenly Father. We do this not out of a business-like transaction but because we have a relationship with God, our heavenly Father in Christ. Starting our day with a prayer is not something we see as burdensome but something we delight in doing.
