Morning Prayer for a Business Restoration

Sometimes our business can be hit hard or find itself in the lowest of lows. A new competitor perhaps has appeared, causing your customers to go to them and leaving you with very few sales, which causes your business to struggle. Maybe an economic recession has caused businesses to close left and right, and now yours is in danger of closing. In these cases, you can pray a prayer of restoration.

[Philippians 4:6-7]

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

You can use this morning prayer for business restoration to pray for your business:

Father in heaven, You are sovereign over everything. Nothing is impossible for You. I pray for restoration so that my business rises back to where it was, even better. May the challenges my business is going through be a learning season where my business can grow even more. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

What is a prayer of restoration?

When we say “restore,” that means to revert an object to how it used to be. Let’s say a broken car was left unmaintained for years. Its engine is full of rust, the seat covers have holes, and the car looks like it came from a junk shop. Restoring the car means making it into how it was before—when it was operational and in good condition. That is why, if there are broken relationships within the family, we pray for the restoration of relationships.

Similarly, if we find our business in a state less than it used to be, restoration is something that we can pray for our struggling business. Even if your business went bankrupt long ago, you could still pray for restoration—something like a comeback for your business.

The earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

If you look at the circumstances, it may seem impossible. After all, how could a business that went deeply underwater resurface? But nothing is too hard for God. Remember that all resources and everything on this earth is the LORD’s. Just because something seems improbable should not hinder us from praying and asking. How can we have it if we don’t pray and ask for restoration in the first place?

How do I pray over my business?

You can pray restoration over your business by simply asking and praying to God to restore your business. Whether your business is on the brink of bankruptcy or it already has closed down, ask God to restore your business. You can pray for provision as you jumpstart your business again, a new place to set it up, the right people to work for you, and much more. 

Here is an example of how you can pray a morning prayer of restoration for your business:

Heavenly Father, You are the God Who restores that which is left in ruins. I pray for the restoration of my business that has closed down. I pray for the finances I need to open my business again and an excellent place to set my business up. Lead me to the right people to whom I can entrust my business as I hire them. Give us the grace to do better and learn from the past. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

God is a restorer. He restores that which is ruined. If your business has also been in ruins, you can ask and pray to God to restore it. We have the confidence to ask God for the restoration of our business because, in Christ, we are His children. We have access to God’s throne of mercy and grace.
