Have you experienced waking up early but still being too tired to pray? When our schedules for the week don’t give or allow our body the rest that it needs, we experience fatigue and burnout, meaning that we may be too tired to talk to God. Our mind simply wants to shut down, as it craves more rest.
So how do you start the day with God when you are still tired? Perhaps your spirit is hungry to have fellowship with God, which is why you’re searching to spend time with Him, despite the way your body is feeling. To spend time with God or pray to Him as you wake up in the morning is not a complicated thing. It won’t add to your stress or weakness because God is the source of all strength.
When you think about praying to God, you don’t have to think about prayers that put more stress on your mind. When you pray and worry at the same time, it’s not a prayer built on faith, but on doubt. James 1:6 says, “But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.” As you come to God, enter into His rest by simply receiving the strength that comes from God alone, along with the assurance that Your Heavenly Father already knows all your needs.
Simply thank the Father as you wake up for giving you another day. Declare that you gratefully receive His power that renews your strength and restores your health. God understands your situation and knows every detail of your life. When you pray to God in the morning, start by simply praising Him and receiving His love, which will strengthen you and empower you. Don’t begin your prayer by thinking about all the things that make you tired or your problems, as these things will keep you from praying to God in the morning.
When you are too tired, learn to simply receive by faith in your morning prayer that God, through Christ Jesus, will give you the strength to do everything you need throughout the day. He who is faithful will restore your body, soul and spirit to its full health!
