Morning Prayer for a Business Journey

Every business has a journey. It starts from the business idea being in the works—the application for a business permit, renting or buying a lot or place, hiring employees, and many more processes. It then gets birthed when the business finally opens and serves its customers. However, the journey does not end there. 

Below is an example of a short morning prayer that you can pray for your business journey:

Father in heaven, Thank You because You are the One Who watches over me and my business from here until the end. You are faithful, and You will never leave or forsake me throughout the entire time I run my business. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Why praying for your business journey is important

Just as life is a journey, doing business is also a journey. It has good times, when sales are good, opportunities are there, and milestones can be celebrated. However, there are also challenging times when you must solve problems, conflicts among employees, the economy is not doing well, and other hardships.

Hebrews 13:5

Romans 12:12

Heavenly Father, thank You because You are the God Who sustains. Sustain us with the strength and perseverance we need to keep pressing on and running our business no matter what challenges we encounter. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

You can also thank God and confess certain truths in your prayer. For example, you confess that God is faithful and gracious and that His mercies are new every morning. Psalm 145:8

Provision is also something that you can pray for. Surely you will need resources to run your business throughout its lifespan, just as marathoners need water from time to time to keep on running. You can pray for God’s provision throughout your business journey, and you can cling to God’s faithfulness.

Philippians 4:19

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

1 Corinthians 10:31

Doing business is a journey. There may be mountains to climb and even dark valleys to go through, but our peace and comfort are that, in Christ, God is with us throughout every single second of that journey. As we walk in that journey, we also experience God’s grace and mercy to walk out in faith.
