5 Morning Prayer for Gratitude for Your Husband

Waking up every day and seeing your man, the one you chose to marry, is enough to make every morning wonderful, special, and filled with gratitude. He is God’s precious gift that’s meant only for you for the rest of your life here on earth. Heavenly Father, thank You for this beautiful morning and the life of my husband. Waking up every day with him and sharing life with him is truly a gift from heaven that I am grateful for. I pray that Your hand of anointing, blessing, and protection always be upon him in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Gratitude is powerful, especially in the context of marriage. After all, being thankful is God’s perfect will. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 says, “In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”

How can I pray for my husband in the morning?

Saying a morning prayer of gratitude for your husband can make your every morning heavenly full of positivity and light because that’s what gratitude does in our hearts. And when you express your gratitude to your husband, it creates a healthy and powerful marriage. Moreover, when you let your husband hear you pray for him, the enemy loses all grip and trembles with fear because of the power of words that you are releasing to your man. Proverbs 18:21 says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” The more you speak life and blessings to your husband, the more it will manifest in his life, which benefits not just your marriage but a thousand generations through your children.

So, as you wake up in the morning, you may lay your hand over your husband and say a prayer for him. Let him hear your prayers. You can declare God’s Word of promises such as in Jeremiah 29:11, God’s promise of a wonderful future in Christ; Philippians 4:13, strength and contentment in all facets of life; Galatians 5:22-23, the fruit of the Holy Spirit in His life; etc. You can pray this way, “Thank You, God, for the Holy Spirit in my husband’s life. He produces the fruit of the Spirit and glorifies You in words and deeds in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

What can I pray for my husband in the morning?

Besides praying for gratitude for your husband in the morning, there are many other things that you can pray for him, even specific things. As mentioned earlier, as you partner with the Holy Spirit in praying for your man, He will show you God’s will for your husband’s life and the things you must pray for. 

Here are some of the things that you can pray for your husband in the morning:

1. Pray for physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual strength.

Strength is vital in fulfilling our daily tasks and calling on the Lord. You can pray for strength in all aspects of your man’s life to fulfill God’s will here on earth effectively and powerfully. (see Psalm 46:1-3)

2. Pray for God’s divine protection.

The enemy hates marriages and all the more hates the head of the home and the head of the wife. On a battlefield, the rest of the team scatters, falters, and is shaken to the core when the leader gets killed first. It is important to cover your husband always in prayer for protection against the works of the enemy (see Psalm 91).

3. Pray for godly friends and company.

1 Corinthians 15:33 says, “Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners,” and Proverbs 13:20 says, “He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.” It is important to pray for your husband’s friends and company, for they can influence and impact his life.

4. Pray for the manifestations of his heart’s desires.

When God answers our prayers and our heart’s desires according to His will, it empowers our faith in Him. Pray that your husband will always be in alignment with God’s Word and His will so that his heart’s desires will manifest. Psalm 37:4 says, “Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.”

5. Pray for your husband’s relationship with the Lord. 

The most important prayer is about your husband’s relationship with God. When the Lord is present in our lives because of our relationship with Him, we can expect fullness of joy, life in abundance, and success no matter what is happening around us (see John 10:10 and Psalm 16:11 – Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.). Pray that your man’s relationship with God always prospers and continues to deepen in Christ Jesus.
