Morning Prayer for Gratitude for Your Girlfriend

As you are in a relationship with your girlfriend and thankful to God for granting you such a partner, one way to glorify God with your life is by leading her closer to Christ and allowing God to be the center of your relationship. The Bible says that the husband is the head of the family, just as Christ is the head of the church (see Ephesians 5:23 – For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.). Although you are not married yet, someday you may marry this woman and become the head of your marriage and family. There is no meaning and purpose to a relationship that won’t lead to marriage, as it doesn’t glorify God. 

Praying for your girlfriend is one way to lead her to Christ and into a godly relationship. You are here because you want to glorify God in your relationship by thanking Him early in the morning for your girlfriend. This is the right way to lead her to Christ and know that God is so proud of you. You can say a morning prayer of gratitude for your girlfriend in this manner:

Heavenly Father, thank You for the beautiful day You have given me. As I lift unto You my girlfriend, I thank You for her life and for blessing me with Your precious daughter. She is a woman who fears the Lord and has a wonderful future ahead of her through Christ Jesus. May I be Christlike to her in every way, and may our relationship glorify You, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

You can also pray for your girlfriend in the morning as you read God’s Word and declare God’s promises over her life. 1. Psalm 28:7

Thank You, Father, for You supply every need of my girlfriend according to Your glorious riches in Christ Jesus. She does not lack, for You are her provider, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

How can I be a godly partner to my girlfriend?

When you truly love a person, you want what is best for them. Saying a morning prayer of gratitude for your girlfriend is one of the ways to express your affection and deep love for her as you both draw closer to God. 

To be a godly partner to your girlfriend, continue to focus on your relationship with God and build a strong foundation of your identity and purpose in Christ Jesus. When a man truly knows who he is in Christ Jesus and has a deep relationship with God, he becomes a powerful vessel for the Father’s heart. The type of love that comes from the Father causes you to be Christlike in many ways that can powerfully impact your girlfriend.

As you become the godly man your partner needs you to be, your life will become an example for her to follow. You will inspire her to be a godly woman and seek Christ above all else. When you lead your woman closer to Christ each day, such a relationship will flourish and prosper. “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you” – Matthew 6:33
