Morning Prayer For Success In Business

As you wake up in the morning to face another day at work running your business, it is always a good idea to pray to God before you start the day. After all, we rely on God for everything, and He has been sustaining our business all along. That is why, if you want your business to succeed, our primary go-to person is not ourselves or anyone else but God.

Father in heaven, You are the God from whom everything comes. I pray that my business shall grow and succeed and that all of our works and toils shall grow to bear fruit. When praying for success in your business, you must define what you consider as success. Is success being able to innovate a product that will change and improve people’s lives? Is it being able to meet a certain quota? Or does success mean being able to scale your company?

As we pray to God for success, we must act on it by being diligent in running the business. That is why, in (He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich. Proverbs 10:4),  it is written that a slack hand causes poverty, but the hand of the diligent is rich. Diligence is the difference between the rich and the poor.

How do I commit my business to God?

As Christians, just because a business is thriving does not necessarily mean it is thriving in the eyes of God. Even if a business is thriving by the world’s capitalistic standards, it is not successful if it is built upon dishonesty and evil deeds. In other words, praying for success for our business means succeeding while maintaining your integrity and doing business righteously in in the eyes of God. In (Better is the poor that walketh in his uprightness, than he that is perverse in his ways, though he be rich. Proverbs 28:6). In Proverbs 28:6, it is written that being poor but having integrity and honesty is better than having riches through dishonesty. Being righteous in how we do business is how we genuinely dedicate and commit our business to God. Scripture commands us to commit our work to God in Proverbs 16:3. It is not just about success alone, but doing things right.

There is nothing inherently wrong with desiring success for your business. Trusting in God for success in our business is one of the ways we get to experience His grace. We do business because we want to serve God and be a channel of blessing to others through our work, and we can do that better if our business succeeds and grows.
